Reminders

Just a few quick reminders and announcements as we finally enter the beautiful season of Spring.

1) Student Work on Display @ ICPL
The next time you are in the Children's Library at the Iowa City Public Library please be sure to take a moment to check out the featured artists showcased on the library walls. The current featured artists just so happens to be our very own Willowwind students. Take a look at our students' beautiful artwork. What a fun opportunity to have their work on display within the community. Enjoy!

2) School Start Time - 8:15
Please remember that school starts at 8:15 each day. Please be sure your child is ready to start our morning no later than 8:15. The classroom opens up at 8:00 and BSP begins at 7:30 to help with busy morning routines.

3) Bunny Bags
Please be sure your child has their Bunny Bag at school each day. Bunny Bags are used daily during Partner Reading, Quiet Reading Time, and Spelling. It is an essential part of your child's school day.

4) Spring Weather Gear
Please help your child be prepared for the changing weather that occurs during Iowa's Spring season. We'll be outside enjoying the weather even with the cool mornings, warm afternoons, and soggy, muddy ground. Make sure your child is dressed appropriately each day. Even with the disappearing snow, THANK YOU for continuing to bring boots for your child. Boots are an essential part of our recess time as they keep our feet dry and our indoor shoes clean. Keep it up!

5) Parent Help Needed
As we transition into warmer weather, we've noticed that our ground requires some grass seed and attention. If you're still looking for volunteer opportunities before we tally final service hours on April 15th, please consider lending a hand and planting some grass on Willowwind's grounds.
