Busy Readers - Reading Challenge Fun

How's your child's Reading Challenge coming? Are they working towards their goal? Thanks to Willowwind's Reading Challenge, I finally read The Catcher in the Rye, a book that has been on must read list for YEARS!

We've been busy reading at school, too. Each afternoon, Kindergarteners record their "minutes read at school" on their Cottontail Communicator. That way, when they are filling in their Reading Log, they can use their Communicator to help them remember how much time we read at school.



With only a bit over a week left for our reading challenge help your child read, read, read, and spread the word! Did you know that each Willowwind friend who reads 1000 minutes or more will have their picture feature in the newspaper?!? Make this reading challenge a fun game! Have fun reading as a family. Encourage your child to read to anyone - you, their siblings, your PETS, themselves! Turn off that TV and turn on a night of reading! With the weekend right around the corner take some great time to read! How many minutes can your family read this weekend? The weekend is an easy way to work towards reaching that reading goal!
